A self-guided field trip is ideal for groups who wish to explore at their own pace in the summertime.
MOHAI staff greet groups, offer storage for lunches and coats, provide a quick orientation to the museum, and are available to answer questions throughout the visit. MOHAI provides grade banded scavenger hunts for use in small, chaperone-led groups. Activities are required for self-guided field trips.
Field Trip Details
We are excited to welcome groups for summer field trips. The following details can be helpful for planning your field trip to MOHAI.
- Grade Level: Pre-K–Grade 12
- Price: $50 per group of 10-30 students
- Duration: 2 hours. If you are seeking alternative arrangements, please note in your booking form and our coordinator will contact you.
- Available: Monday, June 22 – Friday, July 24 and Tuesday, August 18 – Friday, August 28, Monday through Fridays between 10am – 2pm.
- Please note: We are unable to host student or youth groups between Monday July 27- Monday August 17 while the traveling exhibit, Freedom Plane National Tour: Documents That Forged a Nation is on view.
- Accommodations: Up to 60 students; one chaperone for every six students required, up to one chaperone for every two students are included in the field trip fee (additional chaperones must pay regular admission rates).
Please be aware that our reservation window does not account for lunch. Your camp should plan to eat lunch in South Lake Union Park before or after the field trip.
